Last Friday, students, parents and teachers from across Utah gathered at the state capitol to celebrate virtual education and school choice.
Despite heavy snow, hundreds gathered to talk about what school choice means to them and how virtual education has benefited their families. Some traveled hundreds of miles to attend.
Students and parents took tours through the capitol, learning about it and Utah’s history. Students posed for pictures on the grand staircase and participated in a fun-ice-breaker activity to get to know other attendees.
The families in attendance expressed their gratitude for having the choice to decide where their child will learn best – and for many families in attendance, that choice is virtual school.
