Local School Choice Advocacy Organization Recognizes State Legislative Champions
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Chapter of PublicSchoolOptions.org awarded Senator Wes Hayes with the Golden Apple Award at their 8th Annual School Choice Day at the State House on Tuesday, April 19th. Over 300 parents, students, and teachers rallied at the State House to support schools of choice. The award recognizes legislators’ efforts to protect and increase school choice options.
SENATOR WES HAYES:
“We’ve got some great charter schools in York County – local charter schools, statewide charter schools, and online charter schools. I think York County is representative of many counties in our state that are providing parents with public school options. I am grateful for this award and will keep fighting for South Carolina’s students and parents.”
AMY SCOTT, SOUTH CAROLINA PUBLICSCHOOLOPTIONS.ORG PARENT LEADER:
“We want to thank Senator Wes Hayes for his longtime support of school choice. Students and families from across South Carolina appreciate your trusting parents to choose the best school settings for their children. Your hard work does not go unnoticed and we look forward to continuing to work together.”
