PSO Congratulates School Choice Champion Congressman Paul Mitchell
School choice champion Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) was recently named co-chair of the Congressional School Choice Caucus. As a virtual school parent, the congressman has a particular interest in empowering parents with choices and has supported federal education policies that place parents at the forefront of their children’s education decisions. He gave the keynote address at PSO’s 10th anniversary Parent Advocacy Boot Camp last summer and is scheduled to speak again at this year’s boot camp.
Nevada Poll Shows Standardized Test Scores Not a Significant Factor of School Quality

PSO Board Members Attend 2018 National Charter Schools Conference
PSO national board members Tillie Elvrum and Colleen Cook attended the 2018 National Charter Schools Conference in Austin, Texas June 17 – 20. They brought the parent perspective to the conference, attended breakout sessions pertaining to accountability and parent engagement, and networked with charter school leaders from around the country.
