STATEMENT FROM TILLIE ELVRUM, PUBLICSCHOOLOPTIONS.ORG PRESIDENT
“I am honored to continue the hard work of PublicSchoolOptions.org. Beth has been a great asset, working hard to grow our ranks and advance our cause. We meet parents every day who are passionate about the work we are doing, and we will continue to work with those parents to share their stories and fight for every student to be able to attend the school where they will learn best.”
STATEMENT FROM BETH PURCELL, PUBLICSCHOOLOPTIONS.ORG FORMER PRESIDENT
“We have experienced tremendous growth over the last two and a half years thanks to the hard work of our parent leaders across the country. We’ve increased our advocacy efforts in state capitols and in Washington, D.C., and cultivated relationships with like-minded organizations. Tillie brings great experience to the team and I am confident she will continue our tremendous work to expand the school choice movement.”
Elvrum has worked in the education reform movement since 2005 in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Colorado. Her son J.D., who started as a virtual learner in the third grade, graduated from Colorado Connections Academy in May. He is a musician and blogger, and will start college classes next month at Pikes Peak Community College.
