Next Thursday, parents from all across the state will converge on our capital to rally for virtual education at Wyoming Virtual Education Day.
We’re so fortunate to live in a state where virtual schools are an option that families can choose for their children. We don’t know what we’d do without our school. My child’s traditional public school just didn’t get it done. We needed something unique.
Choices in education can provide vital outlets for students who have difficulty learning in the traditional setting of public school. Others are bullied and need to learn in a safe environment. Some families simply choose virtual schools because they provide a first-class public education.
I want to take this opportunity to recognize our state lawmakers for their support of virtual schools. We hope they join us in this day of celebration. They have created more opportunities for Wyoming children than they can possibly imagine.
